Daniel Darnell Regrut

Daniel Darnell Regrut, affectionately known as Danny, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, at the age of 83.

Born on December 19, 1942, Danny was the son of the late Mary Regrut and Pete Regrut. He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Regrut, Jr., and his sister, Mary Catherine Regrut.

Danny lived a life filled with adventure, service, travel, and an enduring curiosity about the world around him. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1971, spending much of his service as a submariner based in Hawaii. His years in the Navy were an important part of his life and reflected his independence, courage, and willingness to seek out new experiences.

After leaving the Navy, Danny continued his adventurous life, eventually becoming a business owner in Guam. His years there added another chapter to a life that took him to many places and introduced him to countless people and experiences.

Danny was an animal lover and had a special place in his heart for his pets. He was also someone who was always willing to help others, often offering his time, knowledge, or a helping hand whenever it was needed.

In retirement, Danny found happiness in the things he enjoyed most. He loved spending time with his pets, gardening, cooking, and metal detecting with his good friend Frank. He also loved a lively conversation and could enthusiastically discuss just about any subject. Danny had a curious mind, a strong personality, and a genuine interest in the world around him.

Danny leaves behind his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who will remember him for his adventurous spirit, generosity, independence, love of animals, and the many stories and conversations he shared throughout his life.

He lived an active and interesting life on his own terms, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
